VALPARAI MUNICIPALITY
In 1903 Anamalai Planters Association (APA) started Valparai Township. It is also called as NADUVAR. Its boundary starts from Puthuthottam Estates to small perennial rivers of Stanmore and Nadumallai Estate.
In 1927 Anamalai club was started only for English People. It contain tennis, Football, Gulf grounds. Weakly Market 33 shops and Two Churches. This all belong to the Naduvaru till 1940 this much has been developed, for the past 90 years. Valparai has been developed from Town to Municipality, Municipality to 3rd Gr. Nagaratchi having all facilities with all needs.
